Good website design considers both content and graphics. As a librarian and graphic designer, I create websites with an emphasis on user-centered organization of key information as well as graphics that tell your story.
Beyond business, websites are essential for big events, publications, and community projects. We'll work together to create a flexible site that is easy to update.
Inclusive webdesign services range from custom html/css design, content management through the Wordpress platform, domain registration and hosting, and search engine optimization. Straightforward and collaborative, we work with you at each step in the design process. The result is a website that meets your needs and expectations in every respect.

Archives and libraries employ digitization as a means of preservation and access. Metadata, standards and best practices, workflow, and management of digital assets are key to successful projects.
Digital archive projects I have managed include: The William J. Hill Texas Artisans and Artists Archive at the MFAH, Houston Area Digital Archive and the Astrodome Memories project at HPL, and the Travelers in the Middle East Archive at Rice University.
Your organization depends on information. Keeping it organized and accessible is a challenge.
I offer a simple, coordinated approach using tools you already have to help you manage key information.
By focusing on your needs first, we'll develop simple solutions that are successful because people really use them. I help you understand your information systems, improve efficiency, document best practices for preservation and retention, and implement large-scale solutions where warranted.
I'm Marie Wise: librarian, digital archivist and web designer with 20 years project management experience in corporate, academic, public, and special libraries.
